Warning, this is an incoming political blog post however I promise it will be semi-nice. You have been warned.
With all of the problems we have been having, why can't we bring the money and people back home? I mean we built one of the greatest infrastructures on the planet. It is funny that we have not donated to our own homestead since well forever.
I dunno, it just drives me crazy. We spend whatever billion a day on crap overseas and we cannot get $200 million to fix levees in Iowa? I am all for paying taxes to help the less fortunate and I also donate some cash to organizations I believe in, but isn't the government supposed to be our support system? The one thing I get so pissed at is seeing insurance companies saying you did not buy flood insurance, go away your life is ruined... That is when the government steps in and says yes, I am sorry, here is some help.
*sigh* This is why all eyes are watching the election. With my candidate leaving the pool but going on the support other things it means I need to find another candidate. I cannot stand John McCain and the GOP. The funny thing is I am a republican! I used to be a democrat like all young people and residents of New York.
So I see this election becoming the South Park mention of a douche or a turd sandwich. Which to pick... I am sure I will do another one of these before November. I cannot get away from the issue long enough to be calm about it. I just wish there were easy answers like using our tax money here at home.
