Why I Cannot Get Enough of Mike Rowe

I cannot get enough of Mike Rowe. I am a long time fan of his show Dirty Jobs and he gets to go do what we all do not want to do.

Cell Phones are Multi-taskers, Replacing Watches

In this digital age, it appears that cell phones are affecting us in ways we did not imagine. The latest rend seems to point that the wrist watch is being replaced by cell phones. The cell phone does not require winding, and it is always in sync with the cell network. It even changes time zones and follows you so you know exactly what time it is where you are. This is of course baring technical issues or lack of cell service.

I stopped wearing a watch when I was 15. The stainless steel backings would always make my arm break out under the one spot. I would get little red dots all over in a small circle. I tried using nail polish and a few other tricks but it was not for me. I found a watch I could hang on the belt loop of my jeans. They are known as a [[clip watches]] for anyone that cares. I still have one but it is really only for show.

Hybrid Review Skews the Data?

As if gas prices were not enough to drive any average American insane, Edmunds.com, whom I seldom read, posted their thoughts about hybrid cars. I drive a 2002 Ford Escape and I was very interested in the Ford Escape Hybrid. The Escape Hybrid was under a lot of microscopes and it was a big move for Ford to come out with a SUV hybrid. I got an SUV to be the grocery getter and to haul four people comfortabably.

The thought of getting a hybrid has always been in my head when I get about 275 miles on a tank of gas that costs $45 dollars now. Edmunds is respected by a lot and the funny thing about the average American is they belive anything that they read in the newspaper or on the Internet. I do not fall into that catagory but I despise the media for making sensational news stories just to get people to watch. I can now say the same as Edmunds.

eBay versus Google Checkout

eBay must be out of their minds. The new checkout system Google added is a great site for buyers and it is good for sellers. They charge less than PayPal for anyone selling products as long as you use AdWords (which is a bargin since you are paying for the right to advertise AND sell an item and pay for the transaction through the advertisment of that item. Google should remove eBay from its PageRank system altogether and see how that works out!
